Find out if athletic money is the only way to
go to college or are partial
scholarships available?
Getting an
Athletic Scholarship is EASY
|
It's easy because most high
school student athletes believe that if the
colleges don't initiate the recruiting process,
they believe they aren't good enough for the
college ranks. This just is not true. If the
colleges aren't calling, the student needs to
initiate the contact with the colleges. This
part isn't so easy but given the fact that a
lot of students don't do this step, it may be
the easiest competition in a students athletic
life.

scholarships are available
How
do I know if I am good enough?
If colleges aren't contacting
you, then the only way to know.....is to know. You must believe
that you have the skills to compete at the college level. There
are multiple levels of college athletics and if nothing else
you can apply at all levels and let the colleges decide. If you
don't get a division I scholarship, maybe division III will be
interested.
But all
colleges don't give scholarships
This is true. Division III
and some Division II colleges do not give athletic
scholarships. However, they are free to give acedemic
scholarships that are primarily earmarked for athletes. Some of
the these are partial and some are full ride
scholarships.
We have provided a list of colleges
that sponsor sports scholarships in the articles
section of this web site.
What are the rules
for contacting college programs?
The NCAA is the official
rules keeper for those seeking athletic scholarships.
